The Flipper Zero is a portable multi-tool that packs a surprising number of wireless and hardware interfaces into one pocket device. It is a fast, approachable way to interact with the everyday radio and access-control tech that IoT and physical-security devices rely on.
Good for:
- Sub-GHz radio: capturing and replaying signals from remotes and sensors.
- NFC and 125 kHz RFID: reading, emulating, and testing access cards and fobs.
- Infrared, iButton, and GPIO for talking to a wide range of devices, plus UART and SPI over the GPIO header for basic hardware probing.
Notes: Great as a first, general-purpose device. For deeper work you will still reach for dedicated tools (a full SDR like the HackRF, or a Proxmark for serious RFID research), but the Flipper covers an enormous amount of ground on its own.
