HackRF Pro is a software defined radio (SDR) from Great Scott Gadgets that can both receive and transmit across a very wide frequency range. For hardware and IoT research, an SDR opens up the whole radio attack surface — anything a device sends or listens for over the air becomes something you can capture, analyze, and replay.

Good for:

• Capturing and analyzing sub-GHz and other RF protocols used by IoT devices.
• Replay and spoofing attacks against remotes, sensors, and wireless links.
• Exploring unknown wireless signals and reverse engineering their protocols.

Notes: Pair it with tools like GNU Radio, Universal Radio Hacker, or SDR#. As a transmit-capable radio, only transmit on frequencies and in ways that are legal in your region.
