The Klein Tools MM325 is a budget digital multimeter that covers the measurements you need most during a hardware teardown. Before you can talk to a device you have to understand its board, and a multimeter is the first tool out of the bag.

Good for:

  • Measuring voltages to identify logic levels (e.g. 1.8 V vs 3.3 V) on unknown pins.
  • Continuity testing to trace connections and find ground.
  • Probing exposed pads to locate UART, JTAG, and SWD before wiring up an adapter.
