nRF Connect for Desktop is a cross-platform tool framework for working with Nordic nRF devices. It bundles many apps to test, monitor, measure, optimize, and program your setups, and it pairs directly with Nordic's development kits and dongles — detecting the connected kit and uploading the firmware each app needs.

Good for:

  • Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity testing with auto-detection of connected kits.
  • Exercising BLE security features while probing a target device.
  • Driving an nRF52840 dongle for BLE work alongside the nRF Sniffer.
